    Growing our History

    Earth Day is a time to celebrate and promote the environmental protection of the places we live. Join us for an intimate discussion of some environmental issues we face today. The day will also feature a native and historical plant sale, along with an interpretation of historic gardening.

    10:00-10:30 a.m. | Presentation: Liveable Meck

    10:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. | Native plant sale and historic garden interpretation

    Free admission. Plants will range from $1.00-$4.00. Cash or check only.

    General Day and Time Info:

    Talk, "Liveable Meck," will take place from 10:00-10:30 a.m. Native plant sale and garden interpretation will begin at 10:30 a.m.

    Parking:

    From Interstate 77 south of Charlotte take Interstate 485 East (Exit 65-B). At the Pineville exit take Polk Street south through the town of Pineville for about two and one half miles. The President James K. Polk State Historic Site is on the left.

    Parking is FREE.
