    Portraits of Uganda; Timeless Tapestry - Photography Exhibit

    Portraits of Uganda; Timeless Tapestry is an educational exhibit of photographs, mixed media encaustics, documentary video, and Ugandan artifacts. This 50-piece exhibit includes photographs from Carrie Wagner’s book, Village Wisdom, and newly created encaustic photographs that represent 25 years of involvement with communities in Western Uganda. Author/Photographer Carrie Wagner, originally from Charlotte and now in Asheville, is hosting the following events in conjunction with the exhibition: 

    1) Opening Reception: September 1, 2017 6-9 pm. Refreshments, Gallery Talk, and Book Signing.  C3 Lab, 2525 Distribution Street, Charlotte, NC
     2) Intersecting Stories: September 8th  6:30-8:30 pm, hosted by The Light Factory, 1817 Central Avenue, Charlotte, NC
    Intersecting Stories is a collaborative book project and event featuring author Frye Gaillard and photographers Carrie Wagner, Byron Baldwin and Carolyn DeMeritt.
     3) Kinobe and Friends Benefit Concert, September 9, 6-9 pm, African music, African food, fair trade crafts from Uganda and stories by author, Carrie Wagner. Event will be in the Gallery at C3 Lab. Ticket sales and donations will benefit Village Wisdom Partners.

    Admission Info:

    Free admission for public photography exhibit and reception on September 1.
