Marshall Park

Marshall Park is owned by the City of Charlotte and managed by Landscape Management. It was originally constructed in 1973 as an Urban Renewal project in a section of the city once known as Brooklyn. The park is named for James B. Marshall, city manager from 1935 to 1940. Located at 800 East Third Street, the park covers 5.43 acres and is bordered by East Third Street, South McDowell Street, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education, and First Baptist Church.

A 1.24 acre pond and fountain sit in the middle of the park. The park provides an open green space for citizens and lunch time patrons and is also capable of housing small to medium size events.

There is electrical service to the park, but no water. There is no dedicated parking for the park as well.

Park rental information can be secured by contacting Landscape Management at (704) 336-4262.
