Join us for film screening and discussion of the short film African. American. by Morgen Whiteman who is the filmmaker in residence for CR8:BLK Film Art Residency program in Ghana. The film is a product of the residency. The discussion will center on filmmaking and art exchange betweennGhana and the diaspora moderated by a special guest speaker along with CR8:BLK Founder Rebekah A. Ofori-Frimpong and filmmaker Morgen Whiteman.
This event also includes a screening of Queen of Glory. Queen of Glory is a 2021 American comedy-drama film written and directed by and starring Nana Mensah, in her directorial debut. Set in the Bronx, New York City, it depicts a Ghanaian-American scientist who inherits a Christian bookstore from her deceased mother.
