Beat A Brush
Beat a Brush is a tribute to the painting techniques and style of Bob Ross with lessons open to the public through the Charlotte Art League, social media meet-ups, and other organizations. This is a non-profit organization that promotes fun, joyful art by practicing the ala prima method of landscape oil painting. Using Bob's unique approach - Beat a Brush aims to:
- help others discover their inner artist
- aid veteran's with PTSD through art therapy
- demonstrate the wet-on-wet method of oil painting
Beat a Brush has goals to eventually reach out to the citizenry of Charlotte with after school programs and senior events with the Char-Meck Parks & Rec department (still in planning stages). Demonstrations and lectures in the alla prima style of Bob Ross are available to the public at no charge.
