Department of Music at UNC Charlotte

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte Department of Music offers undergraduate programs leading to the Bachelor of Music degrees in music performance, music education, and Bachelor of Arts degree. The Bachelor of Music (B.M.) degree is a four-year program consisting of a minimum of 124 semester hours while the B.A. degree mentioned above consists of a minimum of 122 semester hours. The Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) was begun in Fall 2003 as the University's first graduate offering in music.
The department offers a wide array of courses available to majors and non-majors alike ranging from music theory and history to performance and music education.
