Holy Trinity Lutheran Church

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church began as a Sunday school in 1914 in a room over Long’s Store at the corner of Central and Pecan Avenues. This was a mission begun by St. Mark's Lutheran Church after they identified the need for a Lutheran church in the eastern part of the city. The congregation was organized in 1916 and the first church building, on the corner of Central and Thomas Avenues, was built in 1917.
