Black youth stereotypes are turned upside down in the feature documentary film Purple Dreams. A two-and-a-half-year journey serves as an inspirational window into the lives of inner-city, at-risk students who succeed at their passion while embracing the transformative power of their arts education.
* Join us after the film for a post-screening discussion with Director Joanne Hock, Editor John Disher, and Corey Mitchell, documentary subject and Founder and Artistic Director of the Theatre Gap Initiative.
